no because groups like Mave or even Aespa [8 members, 4 virtual and 4 "real"???] confuse the hell out of me. what is the appeal here? i have a hard time listening to the music because i don't appreciate the people's talents who are being used not being properly credited. isn't there another boy group whose 5th member is AI? and their choreo is designed around his holograph appearing and disappearing throughout the performance? all i could think about is the people who work so hard from childhood for a chance to debut and lose to coding or an aesthetically pleasing robot face.
Not to mention calling anything K-pop regardless of origin is slippery. Let’s just call it AI pop and get on with it.
